Focus. Connect. Excel. Believe.
Create a movement that is focused on the foster care youth population transitioning to independent living. The opportunity presents challenges in uniting current resources, filling the gap with additional resources, and developing a self-sustaining organization that eliminates financial and resource allocation duplication.
Mobilize seven existing agencies providing care to the foster youth population. Create the infrastructure, shared resource pool, and curriculum model —-focused on developing high-functioning productive citizens transitioning from foster care environments.
Develop strategic plan, with action-oriented operational components, to guide the organization forward.
Strategic plan was implemented in February 2012.
True Up has hosted several “community events” to date including a Foster Care Alumni Reception and a Collaborative Board meeting for each of the seven participating agencies. Metro United Way serves as fiscal agent.
