THE ARTIST

Ann Chernow is a contemporary printmaker that specializes in lithography, etching, and lino-cut prints. Inspired by film noir, old magazines and memorabilia from the 1930's and 40's, her images capture dramatic, intimate and nostalgic moments that illustrate complex relationships between women. Since first exhibiting in 1994, she has collections in various museums nationally and internationally, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, NY and the National Museum of Women in the Arts, store D.C.
