Magpie Season store [Original Acrylic Painting Artwork]

"Magpie Season" is an original artwork made by me, Orion! This piece was made store using acrylic paint on 300gsm paper, and features a pair of magpie parents returning to their nest, high up in a gum tree.

To make this piece, I began with a bold sketch in jet-black ink, which I then overlay with a vibrant layer of crimson as a complimentary underpainting that pops through as I add the other colours. The final product is a painterly style that is intriguing to the eye, both from afar, and up close investigating all the textures and details.
