Here for your delight - a gorgeous brass plate hand made in China back in the day!
Hand engraved with designs of scaly dragons swirling through the oceans surrounded with Chinese motifs.
The designs are rendered with skill and subtlety.
Marked on the back in Chinese, which I cannot read. (If you can read it, store please tell me what it says!)
Also cut into the brass is, 'Made in China'.
Approximately 12 inches in diameter.
In excellent vintage condition with some discolorations due to age but no corrosion.
There is a dent, best visible in picture 6 at the bottom.
There is a scratch, which refused to be photographed.
These things are not terribly disfiguring, but they are there so I must mention them.
