Early 20th Century store Trinket Box

Store your treasures in this elegant little portrait box. The understated elegance is lovely. The portrait is subtle and beautiful. The metal has just enough patina. Lined with green velvet and marked "France" on the lid, it's in remarkable store shape for it's age. Apparently these are sometimes referred to as "jewelry caskets." That takes it up a notch, doesn't it? Banish the thought! I say fill it with pearls or tiny vials of love potions.

Clean, no water marks, no staining, and the hinge works perfectly.
