A great box which could be used for many things with a wonderful inscription in the lid.

The wooden box measures 9 3/8 inches by 6 3/8 inches and is 1 1/2 inches tall. The lid closes well on the base.
The internal sections are 8cm x 14.3cm x 5.3cm high.
The 2 center sections are 7.3cm x 7cm x 5.3cm high.
And 5.5cm x 12.5cm x 5cm high.

The condition is good apart from a mark on the lid and a few scratches. There are a few white marks on the inside in one of the compartments. The plaque is slightly tarnished. The hinges are good and strong, it is nice and clean and in fine fettle for the age.

It would be a super addition to any collection, excellent display, present or practical piece, or authentic period prop.
