Elder Futhark Custom Rune Ring in Mixed Metal Golden Bronze & 925 Sterling Silver - Rustic Modern Viking Unisex store Jewelry Gift for Him or Her
This mixed metals ring set is forged by hand and flame from .925 Sterling silver. It features a smooth, yet rugged band and a nugget of solid bronze. The rune carved in the nugget can be customized. (see last photo for examples & read more about runes and meanings below)
This ring style is suitable for both men and women and makes the perfect wedding or everyday ring. I use a combination of modern and traditional techniques to create jewelry as my Viking ancestors once did.

ABOUT THE ELDER FUTHARK RUNES:
Choose your custom rune from the Elder Futhark system at checkout. See last photo for rune choices and their meaning. The meanings assigned to the runes here are without esoteric speculation or conjecture. They represent accademically accepted meanings. Since the Vikings (who mostly used Younger Futhark) and the early German peoples from which they came did not use written language a few rune meanings have been lost to the ages. Most all meanings and representations come from information included in the Medieval Rune Poems. Of course each rune can mean anything an individual associates it to represent, however I choose to stick to historically documented meanings and representations when at all possible. Because of this the rune Isaz (3rd from the left in the 2nd Aett) has no known meaning and the 6th and 7th runes in the Second Aett have been assigned no name or meaning since we do not know and I do not support conjecture; only facts.
RUNE MEANINGS:
See photo 5 - Runes are read from left to right and are divided in to 2 groups of 8 called "aetts" or families. I have assigned each rune a number which corresponds with the selections available in the dropdown menu at checkout. If you have any questions please convo me for clarification or discussion. The letter associated with each rune is in parenthesis.
