Sonnenberg Mansion store

This original linoleum block print shows a view of the mansion at the historic Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion in Canandaigua, New York, a small city in the Finger Lakes. Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion is a 50 acre estate that is a part of the New York State Park System. The Victorian mansion is the former summer home of Mrs. Mary Clark Thompson. Each print is part of a limited edition of 50 prints. This print is hand carved, and each print is individually hand printed. After the prints are dry, each print is individually hand colored with watercolors. The transparent watercolors provide an interesting contrast to the boldness of store the black ink. The image is 5 1/2 inches high by 11 inches wide and has a white border beyond that.
