Pin/Brooch-Baltic Amber with store Green

I think brooches/pins are a sweet, old fashioned type of jewelry that we have forgotten about. They are a perfect way to dress up a scarf, the lapel of a jacket or coat, to use at the base of a collar, or even to use on a plain belt or purse.

This pin was made around a beautiful piece of Baltic amber that I store brought back from Latvia. The amber is surrounded by gold, black, brown, and green glass seed beads. At the bottom of the pin is a fringe with the same colors and using black glass bugle beads. The fringe give this piece some movement and adds sparkle. The warm, natural tones of this pin could complement many different outfits. The back of the pin has a gold tone pin back and is covered with soft black fabric. Tradition says that amber balances emotions and attracts good luck!
