This is a stunning Asian Chinese export necklace featuring a medallion or thin drum made of the typical store Chinese silver NOT STERLING meshwork with a lovely red and blue flower like designs and what you would often see with these pieces...a Chinese character. The drum is double sided. The rim has blue enamel dots. Some enamel has faded away. Strung on a unique chain made of sterling silver findings and black and iridescent beads of stone and glass. Some of the enamel is missing in parts. Lobster clasp stamped "925." Sterling parts have patina. There were three periods of Chinese Export Jewellery. The first was from 1785 to 1910, the second between 1911 to 1948 and the third was between 1971 to the 1990s.
