Hand carved and Hand painted Saint Charbel Makhlouf with Milagros, Large. Assorted ribbons hang from wrists of both arms. Body is affixed with more ribbons, assorted Milagros hang from those. Piece is carved to sit on a surface but can also hang from a wall.

Saint Charbel measures 12" high. His arms spread 10". Depth of piece is about 3".

Canonized by Pope Paul VI in 1976, Saint Charbel, a Lebanese hermit and monk healed the terminally ill during his lifetime over two hundred years ago. In the last few years he has resurrected with immense popularity amongst the devout Catholic believers of Latin America and is being prayed to especially by the ailing.

Ribbons with prayers are attached to his welcoming arms in hopes that a petitioners needs will be resolved. Prayers for strength, love, health, money, forgiveness, peace. etc.
