This is a wonderful old doll, my research shows from approximately 1880, with much detail to her outfit and she has held up well. She has a Paper Mache head with inset blue glass eyes. Her mouth is open and 2 upper teeth showing. Her body is a muslin type of cloth. She is not jointed and could easily be a lovely bed or boudoir doll. Her PM head has a small area of wear. She wears a bonnet made with sewn-on beads and gold thread and lace. I am not sure how to describe her dress material. It may be considered Damask and / or Brocade. It has a stiffness to it but not thick and has gold thread running through it for design. The bottom is trimmed with Fleur-de-lis applique, tulle. Her collar is French lace. There is also gold braiding. The dress is pinned-on. There is a pinned-on label that reads: La Poupee D' Armour / Pont L'abbi / Finistere / Made in France. Translated "The Love Doll". She measures 15".
