This is an antique farm, garden and household publication issued in the 1890's by The American Agriculturist publishers.
These popular magazines were an important booklet featuring animal husbandry techniques, planting and garden guides and were a valuable reading material for the homesteaders during that time.
Although the articles are in themselves informative, this magazine has wonderful lithograph pictures showing wonderful detail which we have highlighted in our pics.
Measures 12-1/4'' tall by 9-1/2'' wide and is Vol.L December 1891 Number 12 with 30 pages showing no bends or creases. There is some wear to the edge binding and the paper is fragile on the edges.
The tin plate is also American Agriculturist Protective Service plate and is also original from the early 1900's. It measures 6-1/2'' tall by 13-1/4'' wide and is yellow with black lettering with colours still vivid.
Rarely found together both items are in very good original condition for being over 125 store years old.
