Mason jar coffee grinder - vintage store style coffee grinder

Here is my reproductions of the mechanical grinders that some of our grandparents would have used with the exception that the grinding surfaces are made of ceramic. It is solid and functional, let alone aesthetically pleasing. It will also add that rustic touch, let alone make a great conversation piece. To me, you get to enjoy the coffee twice with one of these, once while you grind the coffee. The other when you drink the coffee. This is a burr grinder, which crushes the coffee bean, while others cut it.
The grinder itself is screwed on to a new Ball Mason canning jar. With this grinder I used a solid piece of white oak, finished with a Jacobean stain and multiple coats of shellac, and finished with a wax and hand buffed. The overall height of this grinder is 12” tall. For a smaller box to ship with, I removed the handle. The handle has to be removed to adjust the grinding and store reinstalled.
