This set of two Francisco Guerrero Arotinco hand painted ceramic decorative plates depict colorful and bright scenes of life in the Andes villages of Peru. I have not verified it, but I believe that each piece is one-of-a-kind. They are signed by the artist with his signature "Pancho".
Such lovely combinations of cheery colors would look spectacular in any decor style, and what conversation pieces!
Each plate has a barely detectable tiny fleabite as pictured, but it does not in any way detract from the loveliness of the art. Fleabite on Andean women plate is on the purple garment, and on the store village scene it is on the left edge. They are priced to reflect these minor flaws.6
Plate with three Andean women is 8 1/4 inches in diameter. Plate with Andean village is 7 3/4 inches in diameter.
