Men wore these tabi sock while working on the rice field or store construction site.
Material: Indigo-dyed cotton fabric.
Outside is darker indigo-dyed cotton fabric and liner is lighter blue.
The sole, heel covering and between the big and the seccond toes are machine-sashiko stitched and therefore, thick and sturdy.
Seven kohaze metal clasps are attached.
On clasps, "23.0" incised for shoe size, US women's shoe size 6.5 and "Asamegusa, Ugaya" tabi sock manufacturer or brand.
There are three lines of thread hooks sewn for three-sized ankle circumference.
Machine-stitched.
These fabric sole tabi were manufactured in small factory or sewing house upto 1950's in Japan.
Very good condition, probably unused.
