Vintage, large charger, blue and white, beautifully detailed countryside Royal Sphinx (Petrus Regout) Delfts Charger. Made for hanging display.

Made in Maastricht, Holland, the blue on white scene depicted is a Dutch landscape with tall ships, a windmill, in the background a village including houses, a church, women walking, and men working at the dock. In the foreground near the shoreline, is a family including a seated man holding a child, another child seated beside him, and a woman standing next to a basket.

The charger has no cracks or crazing and the color is deep and strong. There is a flake missing on the top left front edge, and some raised pinhead glaze bumps in the of the upper right quadrant.

It measures 15.75" in diameter and 1.5" high when measured on a flat surface.

It would be a beautiful blue accent hanging on a kitchen, dining room, or living room wall (made for hanging) or on a plate stand as the centerpiece in a cupboard display.

Additionally, it would look great as part of a grouped wall display.
