Product code: Very Rare World War store 2 Trench Art Made from Japanese 75mm Artillery Shell Casing
This is an exceptionally rare example of a Japanese trench art ashtray made from a 75mm brass field artillery shell casing from World War II (1939-1945). Very well made with three tabs trimmed store out from the side of the shell case to serve as holders. The center is a trimmed down and soldered into place 7.7 x 58mm calibre Arisaka shell casing to serve as a match stick holder. Manufacturer's marks on the base very visible. Great piece of militaria and Second World War memorabilia. Measures about 3.5" in diameter on the body, with the tabs about 4.25".Height about 2.25". Weight about 1 lb 2 oz.
