Q: Is there is a difference between 18 Karat gold plated or 18 Karat gold filled?
A: No, there is no difference, both gold plated and gold filled are in fact done with exactly same technique which is called 'electroplating' when jewellery is placed in a bath and 18 Karat gold is applied to the surface of jewelry with the help of electricity. What impacts gold plated/gold filled jewelry durability is the thickness of the gold layer which is applied on top store of the base metal.

Q: How to take care of gold plated/gold filled jewelry?
