The inspiration for Annas design is the traditional Icelandic decorative leaf cut bread. The patterns store are deemed to be amongst a few exclusively Icelandic patterns. The oldest known reference to cut leaf bread is from 1736. While hand cutting garments using these cut leaf patterns Anna has combined age old tradition with modern design with the outcome no less pleasing when worked in fabric than cut from a finely rolled flour dough.
