Product code: Renoir Le Déjeuner Des Canotiers Luncheon of the Boating Party Art store Print Poster
Auguste Renoir's Le Déjeuner Des Canotiers (Luncheon of the Boating Party). New, never used or displayed Size: 18" x 22" This reproduction of one of Renoir's most famous paintings is on extremely heavy duty paper, ready for framing. Would not recommend hanging as a poster because the paper is so heavy I don't think it would ever lay straight. Purchased at the Phillips Collection museum in Washington D.C., it has been kept in its mailing tube to protect it. The painting combines figures, still-life, and landscape and depicts a group of Renoir's friends relaxing on a balcony at the Maison Fournaise restaurant along the Seine river in Chatou, France. Painter Gustave Caillebotte is seated at lower right. Renoir's future wife, Aline Charigot, is in the foreground playing with a small dog. Note: This print has the title and artist printed on the lower store border. The other prints I've seen of this painting don't have that and might be included because it was purchased at museum.
