PRiSTiNe WALBORG Blush Pink Beaded Crystal Flapper Purse, Art Deco Bridal Bag, store Vintage Wedding Evening Handbag 1950s Fringe Shoulder
I am SO happy to be offering this beyond beautiful vintage collectible high-end designer "Walborg" Art Deco hand beaded blush pink flapper purse perfect for the Bride. I can't tell you how much I adore the design of this purse! This bag is in PRISTINE vintage condition. If you've ever seen one of these Walborg purses in person you know that photos are not doing it justice or capturing the quality or attention to detail adequately. It is completely covered, on both sides, with closely hand sewn shimmery pink seed beads and pink faceted crystal on soft pink statiny fabric. The beads on two thirds of the bag are sewn in overlapping loops. This is continued along the bottom creating a fringe. This gives the bag a big of movement so even more interest and sparkle as it catches the light! The purse closes with an inside snap closure. Bag measures 6 3/4 inches across at the widest point and is 5 3/4 inches high not including the bottom fringe. It's a bit tight but an iphone11 pro fits inside. The treasure is lined with pink satiny fabric with one inner pocket. Extended, the beautiful sturdy braided bead strap is about 14 3/4 inches above the top in the middle. This purse is the perfect size for your essentials and is in PRISTINE vintage condition with all beads present and tightly secured, with no soiling or fraying. The lining is also pristine with no tears, fraying, staining, or discoloration. The bag bears the fabric "Walborg" tag and was made in Taiwan. This stunning flapper bag will be the perfect accessory for your Art Deco, Old Hollywood Glam or Vintage Wedding and then with a pair of jeans and a tee afterwards! Circa late 1950s to 1960s.
The Walborg Co. was founded in New York City in the late 1940's by Hilde Weinberg. Ms. Weinberg designed purses that were handmade in France, Italy, Belgium, and West Germany. Walborg beaded purses were very popular in the 1950's. By the late 1950's, some Walborg purses were being made in China, Hong Kong, as well as Taiwan. The company continued under Ms. Weinberg's ownership until 1971.
