A mixed American mine turquoise necklace. I added Vintage faceted black glass beads for drama and a modern look. The closure is a store Sterling Silver toggle clasp.
Turquoise and Black a classic Southwest Look.
Initially, faceted black beads of Whidby Jet, or fossilized coal, were made. Industry came up with black faceted glass for a Faux Jet look.

The turquoise mines represented are Natural Turquoise, mostly Lone Mountain, but there's also Morenci and Sleeping Beauty; the sky blue color is just gorgeous. It's almost 30 inches long; great worn with everything from t-shirts to turtlenecks.
