Product code: Pick Me Pick Me - Opalescent Glass Ruffled Edge, Striped Basket, store Vintage, Luminescent, Very old, very delicate Collectible From the 1930s

I haven't been able to find information or a picture of this basket anywhere. She is beautifully made, translucent, clear to milky white stripes, ruffled edges, very old (likely 1930s) and in perfect condition. This little basket belonged to my grandmother and I am old enough to be great grand mother. The quality of this piece is immediately apparent. I think she is early Fenton but that is simply my best guess. She is a real find and a great piece for any antique or vintage glass collection. She is 9 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches wide with a 3 1/2 inch base. As she might be an early Fenton piece, a bit about Fenton's early history is below.

"The Fenton Art Glass Company was founded in 1905 by brothers Frank L. Fenton and John W. Fenton. The first year for glass production was 1907.[1] Frank Fenton was the store designer and decorator. From 1905 to 1920, the designs made there were heavily influenced by two other glass companies: Tiffany and Steuben. But the many different colors were the work of Jacob Rosenthal, a famous glass chemist who is known for developing chocolate and golden agate glass.[3] Towards the end of 1907, the Fenton brothers were the first to introduce carnival glass, which later became a popular collector's item.[4]"
