Ideally for espresso or greek coffee.
We make these cups and coffeepots on table top pottery wheels using white clay with samot for a stronger result.
After trimming and forming, we attach the handles (except on the coffeepots) and let them dry completely before bisque firing in the kiln to transform the dry clay to ceramic.
Then we glaze purple red and firing again at 1250 °C to complete the progress.
The cups are dishwasher and microwave safe.
The handles of the coffeepots are driftwood, self handpicked from seaside, Halkidiki in Greece. We clean and smooth before attaching them with a strong glue on the coffeepots. You can make coffee on electric cooker/stove but they are not microwave safe and we recommend handwashing.
All the glazes and underglazes we use are lead free.
