Welcome to Muddwoman Fiber Art, the companion art to my ceramic work. Working store in fiber allows me to bring my love of texture and color to an entirely new medium. Each one of my wall hangings and scarves are handwoven by me on a rigid heddle loom using many different fibers and stitches. No two are ever alike, each one being a unique piece of fiber art.
I source many beautiful fibers from around the world for my scarves. In order to bring you these wonderful colors many of the yarns I use are hand dyed. When necessary please hand wash your scarves in cold water with a gentle detergent hang or dry flat. Each scarf has a care tag and materials used tag attached.
All of my photographs are taken outside in natural light as to best represent the colors. I also name each of my scarves as it is a reflection of my inspiration. This particular scarf is medium weight, named Yosemite and measures approximately 84” long x 7” wide with every beautiful shades of greens, browns and deep red. The fibers used are Merino wool, acrylic, and nylon. Shipping is free in the U.S.A. on all my scarves. My wish is for you to enjoy your one of a kind scarf as much as I enjoyed making it for you.
