NEW!! In season five of Outlander (Starz TV series) Claire wears a shawl similar to the previously seen rent shawl in season 1 but with a scalloped crochet edging. This one is made of 100% Malabrigo wool. This wool is pure merino wool and is made in Peru and hand-dyed and so soft to the touch. The drape of this shawl is heavenly.
Hand-dyed yarns have subtle variations in colors that are store natural and may vary from skein to skein. There may be differences between pictures shown. I have provided a closeup of the yarn. (If you want to see other closeups, google Malabrigo Rios #211 Syrah Grapes.
Size: One size fits most. Dimensions: 72”wing to wing and 33” down the back seam. This can be worn like a regular shawl or cross wrapped in the front as Claire does. I can make these to order as well. This color is called syrah, after the full-bodied wines of the Rhone valley. The colors are "drinkable," purples, and deep mauves and almost black. The scallops are in a raspberry.
