MEASURES 10" W X 8" D X 3" H

OUTSIDE - This India-inspired jewelry box is gorgeous, a work of art in itself. The top has a patchwork design with pieced, silk fabric in gold, purple, orange, green, blue & brown. Each section is adorned with hand-sewn sequins & embroidery in various designs. The rest of the outside is covered in a gold, Thai silk fabric. Front has a gold tassel to lift the top. There are no labels on this box, but the style resembles those made in JAPAN with Thai silk in the 1960's.

INSIDE - Top lifts to the inside lined in beautiful, yellow gold satin/silk fabric. The lid underneath is supported by 2 side ribbons as hinges & features a large, framed mirror (measures 8"W x 6"H). UNUSUAL DESIGN in that there are TWO lift-out trays on the top. Each tray has 3 divided sections, one tray has a long ring section. The inside measurement of each tray is 4 1/4"W x 7"D x 1"H. Bottom tier is open, measures 9 1/2"W x 7"D x 1 1/2"H, tall enough to store bangle bracelet, watches & other taller pieces. The bottom of each tier has some padding UNDER the fabric to protect valuables. It has a sturdy design to support the lift out trays.

EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION. This vintage jewelry box was kept beautifully. The top has no missing sequins, pulled threads, rips, tears or marks. The outside gold fabric has no rips, tears or marks (few signs of wear on back edge, corner & on the bottom underneath). Mirror is in great condition (1 tiny surface scratch, not noticeable unless you're looking for it). The inside lining has no rips, tears or marks. 1 section of the top tier has an indentation in the fabric where a small piece of tape appears to have been removed (no store damage to the fabric, just the indentation remains).
