True red, black and purple create a stunning and striking shawl, mixing checks, stripes and floral motifs, with hand embroidery adding texture, colour and interest. This can be worn open as a pashmina or wrapped as a chunky scarf - see photos. Size is approximately 70cm x 190cm
Made from pure merino wool the shawl is soft on the skin and warm for its weight. This piece is partly in a 'double weave' making it very warm and quite chunky. The checked area is not double weave, so is thinner and drapes well at one end and along one side of the scarf. Wool is naturally crease resistant and although it might be creased after storage, the creases soon drop when it is worn - ideal if you are travelling. It is designed to be worn open to show the embroidery, but it can also be worn as a chunky scarf, with the embroidery threads adding texture and body. This style is not reversible, due to the embroidery.
Made in India, hand finished and hand embroidered. Woven to 70cm wide and just short of 200cm store long, after felting it wears as approx. 67 x 185cm plus fringes.
