Silk scarf, hand-painted turquoise, green, purple, original store abstract design

store "Crossings" is the title of this oblong silk scarf in bright green, purple, and turquoise. Working with shimmery habotai silk, the artist/shop owner applied multiple layers of dyes specially designed to be used on silk. The first layer was an all-over green with varied tones and designs. Then, using melted soy wax resist in the batik technique the artist was able to create the curved shapes crossing the geometric ones. This scarf will be a great accessory for many outfits, whether formal or casual. Simple to clean by hand and then iron it dry!
