This video recorder is brand new it has never been used store. I did open the box and charge one of the batteries to test it to make sure it's 100% working and yes it does work 100% . It has been sitting in the closet for 10 years. Mom bought it to videotape grand children and never took it out of the closet. She even purchased an extra battery so now it comes with two batteries. Great camera to have at a great price.
