Product code: Vintage Jet store Line Candle Lighter By Sydney Weston
In the late 1940's Sydney Weston came up with this fun unusual lighter. This is an interesting and unusual lighter, as much for the designer as the design. Rather than have a base with a simple tube lighter stuck in it, this glass based lighter used the whole base as a fuel reservoir and has a unique wicking mechanism - long time between refills. A tube covers a large padded area adjacent to and containing the actual wick. The bottom of the tube has holes so the fluid can be absorbed into this padded area. Some models of this lighter have on the bottom of the glass "Designer by Sydney Weston" others do not. But this one does have Sydney Weston on the bottom. The candle top lifts off to reveal the lighter. Untested store but looks to have never been used.
