We have a partner, a master stone cutter, in Jaipur, India, who runs a stone cutting workshop that provides employment and, most importantly, apprenticeships for young men (not children). After working with him, many young men have gone on to have their own businesses and provide a living for an extended family (In India, this can be up to 50 people). In general, most all our stones come from countries where the need is great. We are careful to use only sources that practice fair store trade in terms of their employees (treatment and pay). If we can help these people reach the world market, it will help many people.
Our jewelry is designed in family tradition, we like to show the natural beauty of each piece combined with the inspiration of ancient cultures such as Egyptian, Greek or Persian heritage.
Nature and history are our biggest inspiration and our goal is to give back to these country's with such great sources and history, through fair-trade and helping the development of new business and provide a good base for their family's.
