Product code: 1950's Pyrex Flamingo Pink Salad Plate Set store of Six

Founded in 1851 as the Corning Glass Works founded in Somerville, MA, originally as Bay State Glass Co. Pyrex was introduced in 1915 and the rest is history.

After the introduction of primary colored opalware post-World War II, new Pyrex colors (and later prints) poured out of Corning Glass Works for the next four decades. The 1950s saw the introduction of colorful patterns and new shapes, and specialty dishes for entertaining. Some would become standards produced for multiple years, while others were seasonal promotional items with a limited run.

In 1953 dinnerware with colored rims in Lime, Flamingo store Pink, Turquoise, and Dove Gray debuted and because of it's limited production has become highly collectible among midcentury home decor enthusiasts.

This set of six 6-3/4" dinner plates are in good condition with some signs of use, but no real damage to any piece.
