Proposes 'heretical' theories advancing that dinosaurs, unlike lizards and reptiles, were warm-blooded, agile, and adaptable animals, similar to modern birds. Though controversial upon publication (as the title announces), much of The Dinosaur Heresies has since been accepted. Most importantly, Bakker was a technical advisor on Jurassic Park. We have him to thank for Spielberg's iconic, hell-raising, now scientifically-repudiated T-REX.
