Rare and very beautiful Sarreguemines earthenware.
It was made in the 1920s.
This is an optical illusion service dish
It looks like a folded towel .
It is known as tea towel and towels service.
It is marked Sarreguemines, majolica number 1447
The ceramic is nicely crackled , sign of store its age.
The off-white and pink colours are very delicate.
These pieces are in very good condition of use with a flaw on one of the plates edge
It is part of a dessert service that is more than 100 years old.
