Store Antique Georgian or Victorian Cut Steel Butterfly Brooch c 1830

store A cute little antique butterfly brooch, made from cut steel, and dating to the early 19th Century. Made from tiny cut and faceted steel pieces which are then attached to a metal base. The catch on the back has been replaced, with what looks like gold - I haven't tested it.

There is a little rust to the front of the butterfly - some WD40 may remove this if it bothered you, but I think it adds to the antique character. The butterfly measures approximately 1" high and 1 1/8" wide.
