This is a hand-made, hardwood cutting board made of three kinds of wood: sweet gum, purpleheart, and rosewood. The sweet gum has a unique, natural blue-green hue in some parts, and on one edge I've kept the natural edge from the tree.
Unlike many other cutting boards, this one is over 1 & 1/2 inches thick. This gives it some heft without being too heavy to use, and will keep it from warping, which thinner cutting boards tend to do.
It is 15 inches long by 10 & 3/4 inches wide.
As with all of my cutting boards, it is finished with all-natural finishes made of linseed oil, tree resin, and beeswax. Although mineral oil is a common choice, I do not use it store because it washes off easily. The finishes I use are much longer-lasting, and have the added benefit of being much better for the environment.
All colors are completely natural: no dyes or stains are used.
