This handmade stained glass mosaic features a colorful image of a flower garden filled with red poppies and foliage with a vivid turquoise blue background.

The beautiful mosaic is comprised of various shades and transparencies of hand-cut glass, adhered to a base sheet of clear glass. The artwork has been created using hand-cut stained glass adhered to a solid glass base. The foreground pieces have all been hand-painted to create the illustrative detail of the blooms and foliage.

The mosaic has been grouted with charcoal colored grout, and permanently mounted in a repurposed vintage wood frame (12 5/8" x 10 3/4" - measured to the edge of frame). The artwork includes two screw eyes and a hanging kit.

Glass on glass (GOG) mosaics blends the transparency of modern stained glass with the intricacy of mosaics. The result is a detailed piece of artwork that "glows" when light is transmitted through it.

The glass artworks look beautiful when they are backlit by natural light. Alternatively, they can also be displayed with artificial backlighting. Intended for indoor display.

All windows and most frames used for these artworks store are vintage. Subtle imperfections and signs of character may be present.
