This figurine is 4.75" tall and has no cracks, mars or blemishes or crazing, it is in PERFECT MINT Condition. The trademark (TMK1 – Full Bee) shows it was made circa 1949-1955. WOW!! Sister Maria had a love of children, and a whimsical nature, sketching them in various situations. As always, Sister Maria draws to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. This Charming little boy is dressed in his lederhosen, Tyrolean hat and scarf. He has been tasked with guarding two goats, a mother and kid. The first model of this Hummel was created in 1948 by master sculptor Alfred Moeller. The amount of detail on the goats and little boy are remarkable and a testament to the artisans at Goebel.
