Large Carstens vase, designed by Gerda Heuckeroth. Vintage pre-owned item. Because of its timeless fat lava glaze, this vase will look good in every interior, whether it's full-on vintage or modern minimalist. The vase marked C874-24 on the bottom – made in the late 1960s in W. Germany.
Condition: No chips, cracks or crazing.
Size: 9.8" (25 cm) tall, 3.3" (8,5 cm) across base.

About the atelier: The Carstens Tonnieshof factory was located in Freden an der Leine (West Germany). During the 1960s Carstens expanded and products were produced in Austria, Chile, Argentina and Australia. Designers included Trude Carstens (wife of Ernst Carstens), Heinz Siery, Gerda Heuckeroth and Dieter Peter.
