Please note that several pictures were taken of artwork using different light sources and backdrops to give a true rendition of the size of the piece and the colors of the painting.

This painting was inspired by a photograph taken by a friend who was vacationing in the mountains of eastern Pennsylvania. The seasons change quickly in the mountains and this lone leaf on the dock is our assurance that winter will not be far behind. I chose grays for the weathered wood of the dock and soft blues store for the lake and sky.
