Black cast iron half kettle (2 quart), with a brass handle. Wood stove humidifier. When I store originally bought it, I thought it was a vintage wall pocket for succulents or flowers, or for a table or shelf up against a wall. Turns out it an actual kettle for a wood stove to humidify the air. Could actually be used for either.
